Palladium Braid

At Ormiston, we are often approached to provide solutions to unusual or particularly exacting wire and braid applications, sometimes working with exotic metals. For this particular application we were asked to produce a quantity of Palladium wire braid.

Palladium is a soft silver-white metal that resembles platinum. It is the least dense of the platinum group metals and has the lowest melting point. It is soft and ductile when annealed and greatly increases its strength and hardness when it is cold-worked.

This export order was for a new client. Once a prototype sample had been tested and the cost estimate approved, we successfully completed the order.
