I want some wire, what do you need to know?

We need to know:

• What material you want - e.g. hard stainless steel, soft stainless steel, plain copper, tinned copper, aluminium, spring steel, galvanised mild steel, black mild steel, lead, brass, nickel chrome.
• What quantity you want.
• What size/diameter of wire do you want.
• If you require a braid or strand, what construction do you want?
• If you want plastic covered wire rope, what colour pvc do you need and what thickness do you want the plastic to be?
• If you have a sample of the wire that you want, send it to us.

I'm not sure what diameter the wire is, it's quite thin/thick?

This could be anything! We need exact dimensions or a sample so we can see exactly what you want. As a guide - the wire of a paper clip is approximately 0.9mm.
I'd like to buy some wire, shall I pop in to choose what I want and pay with cash?

We are not a shop and we don't have a trade counter. We are an office with a factory downstairs. If you turn up unannounced we can't guarantee someone will be able to see to you. If you need advice we are happy to talk you through our products and their applications over the phone and send you a small sample if possible.
I would like to place an order with you, how can I pay?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch and cheques. If you'd like us to fax you a pro-forma, that's not a problem. We will send you a VAT invoice with your credit card receipt on the day of despatch of your order.

Please note we are unable to accept cash or American Express.
How much does post and packing cost?

Within the UK:
Orders upto 30 kg in weight will be sent overnight via NIGHTFREIGHT at a cost of £12.00.
If you require your order:
Before noon - £20.00
Before 9.30am - £35.00

Orders over 30 kg will be sent via Nightfreight, costs vary depending on the exact weight, we can advise you the cost over the phone

Outside the UK:
This varies, we can quote you at the time.

Please note that our carriers will require a signature.
I need a Certificate of Conformity, how much do they cost?

£20.00 per order, not per item.
How long until I receive my goods?

If you are ordering an item that we have it stock, we can usually despatch the same day to be delivered to you the next day. Please bear in mind that it takes time to pick and pack items, if you are ordering wire that is kept on a bulk reel somebody has to wind off the exact amount that you require. Our carriers pick up from us at approx 4pm so please let us have your order before lunch time.

If you are ordering an item that we have to manufacture especially for you this will take some time, we will advise you of this when you come to order or enquire

Yes, this is not a problem.
What are your opening hours?

Monday - Thursday:
8.45am - 1.00pm
1.00pm - 1.45pm - closed for lunch
1.45pm - 5.00pm

Friday:
8.45am - 1.pm

We are closed on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday.
